My Review for Fallen (Fallen book #1) by Lauren Kate

Book & Author:  Fallen (Fallen book #1) by Lauren Kate
Publisher: Random House Children's Books
Publish Date: December 2009
Number of pages: 464

Rating and why: <3<3<3< 3 1/2 hearts because it was REALLY GOOD but... REALLY CONFUSING and as a reader i felt like it was so confusing just so you can stay interested and by the second Torment (it came out the 28 of September!!) and (not so soon to be) third book Passion
Spoilers: i give away that this book is confusing, and that you can't really trust anybody in this book

The Summery (from Goodreads.com) :
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Plot: it was really good even though we don't technically really know whats going on.
Characters: Luce was annoying in a bad way -especially at the ending 150 pages- and so was Daniel -because he was a douchebag and just assumed he would get Luce- but everyone else was pretty good

Who I fell in love with:
CAM!!! oh cam was AMAZING......until the end.GOD DAMN IT!!! i not gonna tell you guys whats up. but just know that after you have read this book come back and read my review and you will understand me when i say "WHO CAN I TRUST!?!?!!" I trusted Daniel (even though he was a douche until about 100pgs till the end, the #1 love interest) Cam (the 2nd love interest), Gabbe (pronounced Gabby, because that tripped me up a little), and Miss Sophia (the librarian), some people i named i trusted beyond a doubt for reasons unknown and others i trusted and just got blindsided. Then i got mad because i didn't feel like i could trust anybody in the book and i would, personally, like to have at least one stable person to trust in the book, and i didn't feel like i had that.

My Thoughts:
once again i say it was REALLY GOOD but... REALLY CONFUSING and i felt like it was so confusing just so i could stay interested and want to read her other books. i felt like the whole book was this quest to find the truth and even when we find out what some of the truth is, we still know that we're missing about 987 out of 1000 secrets that EVERYBODY is keeping, and when i say everybody i mean it. seriously when and/ or if you read this book don't trust anybody you get an iffy feeling about, because they're probably hiding something.

HELLO GUYS the My Soul To Take video review is up now just click HERE
and i got my first ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) yesterday *insert extremely excited face here* of Vixen (The Flappers #1) by Jillian Larkin that comes out December 12th, 2010
Jazz . . . Booze . . . Boys . . . It’s a dangerous combination.
Every girl wants what she can’t have. Seventeen-year-old Gloria Carmody wants the flapper lifestyle—and the bobbed hair, cigarettes, and music-filled nights that go with it. Now that she’s engaged to Sebastian Grey, scion of one of Chicago’s most powerful families, Gloria’s party days are over before they’ve even begun . . . or are they?
Clara Knowles, Gloria’s goody-two-shoes cousin, has arrived to make sure the high-society wedding comes off without a hitch—but Clara isn’t as lily-white as she appears. Seems she has some dirty little secrets of her own that she’ll do anything to keep hidden. . . .
Lorraine Dyer, Gloria’s social-climbing best friend, is tired of living in Gloria’s shadow. When Lorraine’s envy spills over into desperate spite, no one is safe. And someone’s going to be very sorry. .
From debut author Jillian Larkin, VIXEN is the first novel in the sexy, dangerous, and ridiculously romantic new series set in the Roaring Twenties . . . when anything goes.

My Review for My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent (Soul Screamers Series #1)

Book & Author:  My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent (Soul Screamers Series #1)
Publisher: Harlequin
Pages: 279
Rating and why: <3<3<3<3<3 (5 out of 5 hearts)
I LOVED IT!! the twist at the end was amazing and i didn't see it coming at all! i loved the little twists she gave us, and her book was really original. i actually want to read it again just becuase
Spoilers: slight not noticeable hints about what Kaylee is and a few of the twist (seriously you wont even know your reading a hint until you read the book)

My Summery:
this book was about 17 year old Kaylee Cavanauh and who and what she is. As you probably know by now, Kaylee can sense when people are about to die. it's happened a few times before and one time she wouldn't stop screaming so her aunt and uncle, who she lives with because her mom died when she was 3 and her dad lives in Ireland, took her to a mental institution. Ever since then she's held in the scream when ever it happens, which is surprisingly a lot for a teenage girl, and just passes them off as head aches and panic attacks to her best friend Emma. then one night while Emma and Kaylee were at a club and it happens again while she's talking to Nash, the hottest guy in school. She see's a girl and she suddenly cant talk and has to psychically leave the club to help hold back the scream. Nash helps her through it and calms her down, but the next day she finds out that the girl she saw was dead and that she predicted her death. After the second predicted death she tells her aunt and of course she down plays everything in front of her but when Aunt Val talks to Uncle Brenden about it Kaylee over hears and draws her own conclusions (which are she finds out are wrong), she knows she's not crazy but she thinks she's dieing and the more she tries to find out whats going on Nash is looking more and more like he knows more about what's going on the Kaylee. with twist and turns and shocking revelations My Soul To Take is definitely a page turner that will keep you wanting more and is worth the 5 heart rating.

Who I fell in love with:   um... Nash was pretty awesome he was nice yet he still kind of had that bad boy essence......but i wasn't completely in love with him.....the person i really want to say is Tod i don't know if its a love triangle yet but i smells like it from my side, i cant say much for fear of spoilers but lets just say he's pretty awesome

My Thoughts:
THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME!!! MORE THAN WORTH 5 HEARTS!!! i could bearly put this down i was amazing. I'm so lost for words, i cant wait to read my soul to lose (the free prequel) and to buy my soul to save. the ending was amazing i never saw it coming it was messed up. it was really witty and funny. go to the store and buy it now.if your in the middle of a book drop it. and definetly get this book if your tired of vampires and you want something new added to your books this is the one for you.

My Video Review is HERE
so that was my review tell me what you think!!!

ok so..... i finished Mockingjay and here's my baby review

....um *FREAKING GASP* i dont have words for this..... like at all and I'm not reviewing it so ...yea but just wow! i mean i liked it but to me like some things could have been explained more and we could have gone into more details like: highlight from here to the next paragraph for a barely spolier its not really a spoiler i dont say any names or what happened but just in case ya know....
one supporting character's death was just like two sentences and then it was only touched on like twice in the end.
...... SO YEA! but now i feel kinda stupid for sayin like team Peeta and team Gale because there are no teams like ever i know that now. this is kind of a review but not really to me this was 3 1/2 hearts because i don't know how i feel about this, i didnt really like it flowed, and how fast/slow things went but it was a perfect end to the series so i can respect it

My Review for The Hunger Games by Suzzan Collins

Book & Author: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Publisher: Scholastic, Inc.
Pages: 374
Rating: <3<3<3<3< (4 1/2 out of 5 hearts)

Spoilers: I say that Katniss and Peeta like each other. I’m sorry but it’s not really much of a surprise

ok to be honest i heard about this when it first came out. it was on Stephenie Meyer's website and i looked at it but i just brushed it off (just like i did twilight- i should have learned) but i somehow ending up looking it up and I heard nothing but good reviews  this about this book. but when i saw the shirts at Hot Topic and that the book was on my school reading list, i was convinced it was a sign! As soon as i could i bought it (and used my weekly allowance the same day).
My Summery:
Basically this Book is set in post-apocalyptic North American and now the continent is called Panem, there are 12 (it used to be 13) districts (basically big fenced in states) and one capital city in the middle of it. Think of the capitol city as “the man” or “the government” but worse. The back story is the capitol was and is so bad that all 13 districts rebelled and….that didn't turn out to well. District 13 was completely demolished and now to ‘make up for their rebellion’ every year they host The Hunger Games. They take 2 kids, a boy and a girl ages 12-18, chosen at random from every district and make all 24 of them fight to the death in an arena, while the whole continent is mandated to watch, until there is one winner. Enter the protagonist: a girl named Katniss Everdeen. Her 12 year old sister Prim was chosen and she volunteers to take her sisters place in the games. The boy chosen for the games wasn’t Gale Hawthorne her male best friend who she doesn’t really know her feelings for yet, but Peeta Mellark, the boy that gave her bread to feed her and her starving family when she was 11. She’s never talked to him but he’s still the boy that saved her life. As she goes through the games Katniss experiences hurt, excitement, plenty near death experiences, fear, friendship, loss, loneliness, triumph, and love as she also falls into the ploy of her and Peeta being star-crossed lovers to get sponsors. But by the end of the games she can’t tell what was for the camera and what was real. And what about her ‘best friend’ Gale?
Who I fell in love with:
I fell in love with 2 different people 2 different ways:
•    First was Peeta: i was more in love with him then Katniss was he was just my type (strong, resourceful, cute, funny, sensitive) {he kind of reminded me of Ian from The Host by Stephenie Meyer} he was and is so in love with Katniss that I admired her, I wanted her to be a little smarter about what his motives behind simple things where like why he would say or do things. Her first thought would almost always  be ‘he’s just acting or he’s going to double cross me’ and finally she’ll think ‘maybe he really likes me or maybe he really is nice and maybe he’s serious’ for a half a millisecond and then that thought will fly out the window.
•    Second was Rue i know she was kind of a minor character but i loved her like she was my little sister. I can’t say too much without going into a spoiler but she was my favorite person other than the characters of course. But I feel horrible and sad because I thought Rue was going to be a complete back stabber; I thought she was going to like kill Katniss in her sleep or something but when she ended up being good and cool I felt really bad for thinking that.
My Thoughts:
The ending was perfect for a first book. It leaves you wanting more and I’m lucky I don't have to wait seeing as I have Catching Fire, book #2, in my book shelf now, and in a few days I’ll have the third, Mockingjay, too.
I'm team Peeta but there wasn't a lot of Gale in book 1 so that's like saying your team Edward after only reading the first book of Twilight. There were (a lot of) times where i just wanted to yell at Katniss for being so oblivious to Peeta and I still don't think she gets it completely but at the end I think she said some of her reasons why she wouldn’t get if Peeta really loved her so I kind of understand why she just doesn’t get it that Peeta likes her. I think Gale likes her too because what’s a love triangle without another person. What does Gale think about her and Peeta? I don't think he liked seeing Peeta and Katniss acting all in love and such. But we’ll find out next book, I think it’s going to be mostly about who Katniss will chose and what the capitol is going to do about her. I think I know what they do but I’ll pretend I don't.

so that was my review tell me what you think, next I'll be doing My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent so look out for that

                                            Love Leah,
                                                     Peace Love and Books

My Book Haul

so here's my book haul from Barnes and Noble i'm half way done with Catcher in the Rye so i'm this much |......| closer to reading the hunger games
so here's my haul and all the synopsis' (or summaries) to the books
if you click on the books it takes you to the Barnes & Noble page

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.
She doesn't see dead people, but
She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.
Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next
Jeremy Heere is your average high school dork. Day after day, he stares at beautiful Christine, the girl he can never have, and dryly notes the small humiliations that come his way. . . until the day he finds out about the "squip." This pill-sized supercomputer, when swallowed, is guaranteed to bring you whatever you most desire in life. By instructing him on everything from what to wear to how to talk and walk, the squip transforms Jeremy from Supergeek into one of the most popular guys in class. Soon he is friends with his former tormentors and has the attention of the hottest girls in school. But Jeremy eventually discovers that there is also a dark side to having a computer inside your brain-and it can have disastrous consequences.
